Freiberg Leather Days is a two-day, annual International Conference jointly organised by the German Association for Chemistry and Technology in Tanning (VGCT) and the Research Institute of Leather and Plastic Sheeting (FILK). It is a forum for communication, personal exchange of experiences and transfer of innovation within the leather industry. More than 200 participants from 17 countries participated in its 4th edition, held in Berlin (Germany) in June 2015.
During the 2nd conference day, which was devoted to new technological developments along the entire process chain, LIFE microTAN was disseminated by INESCOP staff by means of the speech entitled “Recovery of tannery wastes as microencapsulating biopolymer”. The presented project results were of great interest and Inescop’s lecturer was invited to publish them at the International Leather Maker magazine.
